PASSIONATE ABOUT DANCE
At Motion Dance Company we teach dance to a high standard in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Our structured classes in tap, ballet, modern and acrobatics follow the AAD programme of study, in which pupils can take examinations and medal tests. These will help improve technique and development, giving pupils a sense of achievement. We also have street dance and contemporary classes, encouraging confidence and creativity, improving overall performance in dance.
Classes are held at 8a Swan Street, Sileby and are available for pupils aged 2 – 18.
SHOWS AND SPECIAL EVENTS
The school holds an annual show, which is a fantastic showcase of all the hard work the children have put in over the year. It is also a great way for parents to see their child’s progress and to see them enjoying themselves up on the stage. As you can imagine this is a very busy but exciting time for the dance school, organising choreography, music and costumes and would not be possible without the help and support of parents. Selected pupils also get the opportunity to take part in the AAD Awards Day, Gala, Scholarships and Members Day.
MOTION PRINCIPAL
Amy Eccles (AAAD, TMAG)
Amy has trained with the AAD since the age of 3. At 18 she gained a scholarship for a 3 year Musical Theatre Course at Midlands Academy of Dance and Drama. This gave Amy experience of performing in multiple productions at many prestigious venues. After gaining her teaching qualifications Amy then set up Motion Dance Company.
